Rog’s Recipes: Cinnamon Protein Apples + Free Stuff

November 1, 2011 by Roger Lawson II 51 Comments

I often get emails asking how to boost protein intake throughout the day,  so I wanted to share a quick low-tech/high effect recipe that takes less than 2 minutes to put together that address this problem directly. One bite of these apples and you’ll slap yourself for going through life up until this point without them.

Now on to the free stuff!

My review of the Quest Protein Bars (check it out here) was a big hit, and for good reason: they taste like love feels.  I don’t want to keep all the yum yums to myself though, so I’m going to randomly send readers a bar from my own private stash until they’re all gone – my loss is your delicious gain!

There are 3 ways to be eligible (doing each gives you 3 total chances to win):

1) Leave a comment below.

2) Share this post via Facebook or Twitter, making sure to include me in the loop (@RogLaw on Twitter and here on Facebook).

Let me know what you think of this recipe!

The recipe looks great, if only there were a way I could figure out how to eat an apple on this crazy diet my trainer has me on =)

Warning: Highly addictive and if left to your own devices you may spend 100% of your income on apples, cinnamon and protein powder. Don’t say that I didn’t warn you!

I’ve tried apple pie, vanilla almond crunch and mixed berry. I’m going to be doing a review of the cinnamon roll flavor they’re developing very soon. If it follows in the trend of all the other bars, this might be the last post you read because I’ll die from awesome overload.

LOL! I love that video! I can’t believe that isn’t something I’ve tried before, it seems like a great thing to grab on the go.

I tried Quest bars once before and I was really surprised! They were a lot better than I anticipated for a commercial protein bar.

They’re an awesome tasting snack, and they keep me away from the Cinnabons so that’s a big plus.

What flavor bar did you end up trying?

I’m considering to try this with black grapes and watermelon also, as I like this combination better (black grapes and cinnamon rocks)

I’ll drop a comment in the evening.

I literally watched that with my jaw on the ground and drooling at the same time.

Looks like a pretty good snack to try out for sure though. Oh, and it’s obvious that you’ve done that quite a few times with the way you were shaking the bag. I was waiting for you to drop it but it never happened. =P

I would like to see a re-make of that video that
